Habiko’s first homes in the West Midlands have been approved by Solihull Council, delivering 100% affordable homes for rent in a well-connected, walkable neighbourhood.
We have received planning approval from Solihull Council for phase 2 of Holbeche Place, marking another major milestone in the transformation of Solihull town centre. The second phase of the development will deliver 228 low-carbon, low-energy, affordable homes in the heart of Solihull.
The wider Holbeche Place masterplan will create around 1,600 new homes alongside independent shops, cafes, restaurants and public spaces – ensuring Solihull town centre remains a vibrant destination to live and visit.
We will introduce 100% affordable one- and two-bedroom homes for rent, with rents set at 20% below the local market rent. Inspired by traditional late-Victorian mansion blocks, the homes will offer residents high-quality, energy efficient living in a well-connected town centre location.
Red brick, bay windows and balconies will create character and improve living spaces. Located close to shops, amenities and public transport, including Solihull Station, Birmingham International Station and the future HS2 station, the development will support accessible, everyday living.
Residents will have access to shared spaces, including a landscaped garden and cycle storage with maintenance station and EV-enabled parking spaces, whilst space for new retail opportunities will create a welcoming new street.
Planning consent for the next phase of Holbeche Place will continue to support the redevelopment of the town centre, as part of a wider economic strategy for Solihull. This approval will support new homes and spaces that strengthen the local community, creating jobs during construction and beyond.
